Our history

Early Days

Devesch’s founder, Leonardo Schenkel, is a client-focused professional, with a diverse background in IT: as a computer lab monitor at his school, a help-desk agent at a local ISP on the early days of the internet, system administrator at Dell’s research center at his university. During his Computer Science BS course, developed systems and integrations for large companies such as Telefônica Brazil (Vivo), SAP Brazil Custom Development and many other custom projects.

Visual Joy

As a side-hustle, and as a platform for his artistic expression (video and interactive art), he founded a collective known as Visual Joy. This team, developed in collaboration many pioneering projects in the art of Projection Mapping, interactive art and installations, product launches and events for brands. Visual Joy became the most sought after company in the region, with many recurring clients and projects of the likes of Sicredi, Pepsi, main leagues soccer teams, and many national and international companies.


Since 2017 the focus of Visual Joy shifted to providing the same innovation and awe-inspiring interactive art from events to augmented and virtual reality. Initially we developed custom apps for brands, and soon realised that there was a need for a platform to facilitate the creation of AR experiences, reducing costs and lowering prices. Magipix was launched, developed in-house by the experienced team with a cloud architecture designed to allow the business to scale. Magipix is now in use in many scenarios: in-company training, technical procedure of maintanece in large builds, personal gifts, personal photography and wedding invitations.
